Meet Caitlyn, the playful Labrador/Terrier mix puppy who can play catch with herself! For real, see for yourself!  This little lady available for adoption is our B101.7 Pet of the Week with the Humane Society of West Alabama!

This pretty young thing (PYT!) is 9-month-old and has a smooth rusty brown coat with some white markings.  Right now, she weighs around 30 pounds and will grow a little more up to around 40 pounds.

Caitlyn was pulled from our city Animal Shelter, where she had been surrendered by her owner because they could not afford to keep her. Poor girl had been at the pound for over 3 months, so we had to get her out of there.

Caitlyn is so happy to get lots of fresh air and playtime, but she is very ready for a real home having been in a shelter environment for so long. Caitlyn is very friendly and eager to please. She loves attention and to play!! Like any puppy, she will need training and structure to help her develop into a well-mannered adult dog.

Caitlyn should be fine around children over age 10, since she is still a bit jumpy, as most pups are! She enjoys being with other dogs. She may have too much energy for an apartment setting, and she will require a fenced in yard if left outside any unattended. We have started her crate training.

Caitlyn is up to date on her vet care, spayed, heartworm negative and is microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Look into those beautiful sweet eyes, now how can you resist not wanting to bring her into your heart and home!?

If you are interested in giving Caitlyn the forever home she wants and deserves, visit the Humane Society of West Alabama website at HumaneSocietyofWA.org or call (205)-554-0011.
