Around 15 years ago, I used to live in the Forest Lake Neighborhood, and one of my go-to places to eat was Schlotzsky's on 15th Street. I always got the same thing, too - a smoked turkey breast sandwich, a bag of chips, and a large diet coke. Admittedly, I don't eat there as much as I used to, but anytime I was in the old neighborhood, I'd still hit the drive-thru and get my usual.

However, this week when I drove by, I noticed a sign on the door that said: "We are temporarily closed. We apologize about the inconvenience".  But I have come to find out that the closure isn't temporary, it's permanent. I mean, this was a restaurant that was destroyed by the April 27, 2011 tornado, and re-built by it's company. However, what the tornado couldn't take out, the company ultimately has.

In any event, I'll be sad to see it go.

RIP Schlotzsky's.
