One Person Hospitalized In Tuscaloosa House Fire

One person was hospitalized due to injuries sustained from a house fire which occurred on Crescent Ridge Road.

Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service Firefighters say that the victim escaped the burning home by jumping from a window. The home is located near the intersection of Crescent Ridge Road Northeast and 18th Street. At press time, authorities were still working to determine what ignited the fire on Wednesday.

Witnesses say that there was heavy smoke and flames shooting from the house as the first firefighter arrived on the scene. Forunately, there was only one person injured in the blaze, and their injuries are said to be non life threatening.
