Taylor Swift does not have a great track record with rappers as seen in her ongoing feud with Kanye West. But the singer found a more receptive partner in Nelly during an appearance at a birthday party in The Hamptons.

Nelly enlisted the help of Swift for a performance of his 2002 hit single "Dilemma" during the party for oil heir Mike Hess. Swift played the role of Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland who Nelly collaborated with on the song. The track won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2003.

The party and performance were probably a welcomed distraction for Taylor Swift after the onslaught she's received over her issues with Kanye West. Yeezy's wife Kim Kardashian aired Swift out by sharing a phone call that seemingly proved the singer approved of Kanye using her name in his "Famous" song. Swift said she never gave her blessing to be called a bitch, and never heard the track until it was released.

Since then, social media turned pretty ruthless towards Taylor Swift. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian also went on to say they don't listen to the singer's music. Swift even faced criticism from the likes of Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.

As for Nelly, things have been pretty good for the "Ride Wit Me" creator. The St. Louis rapper recently saw his debut LP Country Grammar become the ninth hip-hop album to ever go diamond. The album reached this impressive milestone 16 years after its initial release.
