It's back, an annual October tradition of celebrating the South's rich Indian heritage at the award winning Moundville Native American Festival at Moundville Archaeological Park. The festival runs through Saturday.

Bring the family and see pottery being pit fired or learn how Choctaws make rivercane baskets in the festival's Arts and Crafts Arbors. Kids of all ages get firsthand experience in playing native games and making simple crafts in the Children's Area. The Native American Stages features renowned dancers, storytellers and musicians. Visit the Trader's Circle and Arts Market with authentic handicrafts, artifact reproductions, arts prints, musical instruments, toys, clothing, books, jewelry and sounvenirs. See living history through sights, sounds and smells.
