One of the biggest happenings of the weekend is up Highway 82 in Pickens County, as the annual Mule Day and Chickenfest returns to Gordo! We break down the entertainment schedule, including parade times. You don't want to miss the cars, tractors and mules showing off, do you?

First Friday - Downtown Tuscaloosa

Cost: Free
The arts come alive with exhibits, live music and crafts! See showcases at the Sarah Moody Gallery of Art, Harrison Galleries, O’Connor Art Studios, Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, Bama Theatre Gallery and Grace Aberdean Habitat Alchemy.

Mule Day and Chicken Fest - Downtown Gordo
5:00 PM - 11:00 PM (carnival open same hours)

Saturday, June 4

Mule Kick 5K Run/Walk - Downtown Gordo
6:30AM – Registraion
8:00AM – Race Starts (in front of FNB of Central Alabama in Gordo)
Cost: $25 entry fee (or $15 for the 1-mile Fun Run)
-Awards for the top overall and age group finishers
-T-shirt for participants
-Complimentary water, Gatorade, bagels and fruit following the run
-All proceeds will support Cystic Fibrosis #LungsForLibby (click here for more)
