As this cold, freezing weather brings icicles to vehicles and icy roads to a usually humid Alabama, it can be difficult to drive in these unusual conditions.

So, does this make Alabama the worst state to drive in?

WalletHub has created a study of the best and worst states to drive in as of 2024, and it is pretty interesting.

To create this list, WalletHub had compared the traffic, road safety, and vehicle maintenance in all 50 states.  Based on this list, here are the three WORST states to drive in:

If you didn't hate traffic enough already, WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe revealed this: "What many people don't realize is that traffic congestion can also be extremely costly because of the amount of time it wastes, which is why the best states for driving tend to be sparsely populated."

So, this list is not declaring the best driving state period, but the conditions of driving itself, like traffic congestion, access to gas stations, and road conditions, and more.

The good news about this list is that Alabama made it to the top five best states, coming in right at number five behind Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia, and Iowa at number one. Roll Tide!

6 Ways To Know It's Spring In The Hudson Valley

I always know that spring has started when I first hear the sound of spring peepers. This may also consist of flowers start to blossom, the greenery throughout mother nature and return of several wildlife critters.

Others may also agree and share their opinions too.

As we are different people, we notice things differently as well. While someone takes an interest in a woodpecker in the tree on a soothing morning, someone else may notice a lawnmower humming noise during their breakfast.

On WRRV, a Facebook post asked local residents to share their opinion.

The question stated:

"Tell me it’s spring in the Hudson Valley without telling me it’s spring in the Hudson Valley, GO!"

Hudson Valley residents were not shy when it came to answering this question. Let's take a look at ways we can notice that it's spring in the Hudson Valley from all age groups and different locations.

Colorado's Most Popular License Plates in 2023

Before hopping into Colorado’s favorite license plates of 2023, let’s set one ground rule first. For one, we will only be looking through the Group Special License Plate category. These are plates that are initiated by a nonprofit and must need a petition of at least 3,000 people to qualify.
The reason is because, to be frank, if we counted regular license plates, this list would get boring quite quickly. However, one regular plate will be getting an honorable mention, since it took the state by storm this year.
Without further adieu, let’s dive into Colorado’s most popular license plates from 2023.
