I Have Found the Greatest Mascara on the Planet
I've tried countless brands and varieties, but the mascara I bought this weekend just might be the Holy Grail... of mascaras. I have wanted to try Benefit's "They're Real!" for years. It's $23, and I've never been able to justify the price (which is a nice way of saying I'm broke). Ulta was running a Black Friday deal that offered a full-size "They're Real!" along with a full size of Bene-tint and a trial size of the PORE-Fessional. The limited edition kit was $36, and I was like a tween waiting for a One Direction concert the minute I moment I saw it in Ulta's holiday mailer.
I purchased the kit and immediately tried it on--like, in the car. My husband probably thought I was insane, but A) he knew how crazy I am before we married and B) this make-up purchase was like my Red Ryder BB Gun. I fell in love after the first application.
I've used like a bajillion brands of mascara that all promise longer, fuller lashes. I'm almost always been disappointed with the results, but y'all need to trust me when I say "They're Real!" is 100% LEGIT. Just look at my lashes today.
It's incredible. The coverage is ridic--and that's like, one coat of mascara. I didn't even pile it on. Just a wiggle and a sweep and I look like I have long, full lashes. A-MAH-ZING.
And just in case you think my lashes only look good because they're magnified by my glasses, here's a pic of me without my specs. You can see, my lashes are still bangin'.
I'm also trying to step up my eyebrow game and have been using liners, powders, etc to give me fuller brows. I don't feel like I've mastered it yet, but when I do--a tutorial is headed your way. My aim is to mimic Brow Goddesses like Brooke Sheilds, Demi Moore, and MyCy. I'll get there eventually.... I'm also rocking the Bene-tint that came in my kit. It's fabulous, too.
If you're looking for the perfect mascara, buy yourself a tube of "They're Real!" It's worth every penny. If you're still on the fence about it, places like Ulta and Sephora sell travel size tubes that are usually around $10. I'm telling you--if you want to glam it up for the holidays, it doesn't get any better than "They're Real!"
