The Gordo High School Marching Band is holding their 1st Annual Grenadier Spirit Motorcycle Ride on Saturday to raise money for new band uniforms:

The band's current uniforms are 18 years old, have been patched, hemmed, buttons replaced, seams re-sewn and very gently taken care of but need to be replaced, Besides being worn, they also need new uniforms for new members as the band grows.  The goal is to raise $50,000 to cover the costs of new uniforms for the entire band, about 120 students. The uniforms are worn to every football game, parade, competition, concert and honor bands to represent the school where ever they travel..

The ride will leave from Gordo High School Stadium, 630 Fourth St. NW in Gordo, rain or shine.  Registration is at 9 a.m., kickstands up at 10 a.m.   Advance registration is $25 plus $5 per additional rider. Registration the day of the event registration will be $30 fee plus $10 per additional rider.

All proceeds go to the Gordo Grenadier Band Uniform Fund.  See more here.
