Get Ready for Sloss Music and Arts Fest with Meg’s Summer Festival Beauty Essentials [PHOTOS]

Sloss Music and Arts Festival is going down in Birmingham this weekend, and I am here to get y'all ready to rock with my festival beauty faves. 

It is going to be stupid hot this weekend. I mean, it's July in Alabama; we're not deviating from any norm here. The Magic City is probably going to feel like Dante's Inferno by Saturday, but that doesn't mean you have to walk around Sloss looking like a sweaty mess. You are a steel magnolia, okay? You don't wilt in the sun!

I've put together a list of my festival faves; they're all travel-sized. I mean, go all out and buy full-size if you want, but I like things small enough to fit in my purse without making me feel like a sherpa embarking on an Everest expedition while I lug a ten pound purse around Sloss Furnace.

Also I am lazy, so...

I'm all about keeping it simple, too. I love rocking a full face of makeup as much as the next gal, but let's be 100 here: you're going to be in the hot southern sun ALL DAY, and no amount of MAC Fix+ is going to keep your makeup from sliding off your face. For Sloss Fest, I suggest a tinted sunscreen, a bit of bronzer or blush, mascara, and lip balm (with sunscreen!). Toss in essentials to keep you looking and feeling refreshed, and you are good to go, girls!

This last thing is not essential, but I'm kind of obsessed with Flash temporary tattoos. They're metallic and look GORGEOUS. Why worry about loosing your favorite bracelet when you can wear a few of these instead? They're way on trend right now, too; snag a pack before you go to Sloss this weekend.
