With the potential for legal sports betting around the country this fall, maybe it's time to start paying more attention to the point spreads each week. Or it's the offseason and there's not much else to discuss in late May.

Either way, some college football point spreads were released this week and four of Alabama's SEC matchups were included. VegasInsider.com has the full list from South Point Hotel and Casino, but let's take a look at the games involving the Crimson Tide.

Sept 15 - Alabama (-20) @ Ole Miss

Sept 22 - Texas A&M @ Alabama (-21)

Nov 3 - Alabama (-10) @ LSU

Nov 24 - Auburn @ Alabama (-7)

Looking at these numbers, it's pretty clear that oddsmakers have narrowed Alabama's regular season down to two main games in November: the trip to LSU and the Iron Bowl.

It's way too early to really try to analyze these numbers because so many questions remain for every team, but the LSU line was interesting. During Alabama's current 7-game winning streak, only one of those wins was decided by fewer than 10 points (20-13 in 2014). What will Ed Orgeron and the Tigers have in store this year? We'll find out in November.

Otherwise, these point spreads are about what you'd expect. It seems like the West will once again be decided by the Iron Bowl, and that's how you want it if you're a fan of either team.
