City of Tuscaloosa to Host Seedling Giveaway at the Tuscaloosa River Market Saturday, February 16, 2019

Celebrate Arbor Week in T-Town by planting seedlings in your neighborhood. The City of Tuscaloosa, along with the Alabama Power Service Organization and the Alabama Forestry Commission, will be handing out FREE tree seedlings at the Tuscaloosa River Market Saturday, February 16, 2019. 

Seedlings will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until 11 a.m. or until all of the 5,000 bare root tree seedlings are gone. Many varieties of tree seedlings will be available including red maple, crepe myrtle, live oak, white oak, saw tooth oak, holly, redbud, bald cypress, nuttall oak and overcup oak.
