As Hollywood and the rest of the world mourn the passing of movie icon Burt Reynolds at the age of 82, I was immediately reminded that he filmed a movie here back in 1978. The movie was called "Hooper", and many Tuscaloosans remember it well.

I wasn't a resident down here back then, but I do have fond memories of the movie. In fact, I wrote a blog about the flick a little over year ago. In case you missed it, you can read it HERE

Of course, people know Burt best in movies such as, "Smokey And The Bandit", "The Longest Yard", "The Cannonball Run",  "Deliverance", and "Boogie Nights", not to mention his numerous television appearances. However, to longtime residents of Tuscaloosa, "Hooper" will always hold a space in their hearts.

So, if you remember "Hooper" being filmed In Tuscaloosa, or don't, read this blog to jog your memory right HERE

And THANK YOU Mr. Reynolds for entertaining us for all these years. R.I.P. Good Sir.
