Hi, my name is Meg, and I am a perfume junkie. I can't help myself. I am forever acquiring and hoarding bottles of fragrances. I'm especially keen on sample sizes; they travel well, and I get to try a new scent without making the commitment of a purchase. It was through my latest GOTTA HAVE EM ALL HAUL that I found The Perfect Summer Fragrance.

I ordered an unreasonable amount of skincare products online a few weeks ago, and Sephora was offering a special--you could get a fragrance sample set with any order over $50. Needless to say, I was game. I chose the "Niche" set, which offered rare finds. When my order arrived, I spent a solid hour locked in my bathroom: I admired the packaging of each fragrance, and then carefully tested their scents. Then I found it...

I have never smelled anything like it before. It was love at first spritz. I was immediately transported to a hazy summer afternoon on the beach, the surf pounding, my hair blowing in the breeze. Suffice it to say: I am in love.

Maison Martin Margelia's Beach Walk is more of an experience than a fragrance. I know that sounds terribly pretentious, but whatever. It's intoxicating. I find myself smelling my wrists again and again; it's the most unique fragrance I've ever found.

As ridiculous as that sounds, I can assure you it's true. I am head-over-heels for Beach Walk. It's currently out of stock through Sephora's site, so I may make a road trip to Saks at the Summit to purchase a bottle of my own. In fact, I'm looking forward to trying all the scents in the Replica line; the English major in me is especially jazzed about Promenade in the Garden, which promises the romanticism of an English garden.
