We've got some awesome news to share with y'all. Alt 1017 has finished its talent lineup, and you're going to love it.

We're bringing Monk and Hurricane Shane to T-Town--are you ready?

Wake up with Monk weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monk's been an integral part of the music scene in Tuscaloosa and West Alabama for the past decade. He's so cool he even has a beer named after him--literally. (Shameless unpaid plug: try a Band of Brothers' Monkontheradio sometime). He loves Lucero (ask him to see his tattoos), collecting vinyl, and his cat named Sushi. He's probably the only vegetarian you'll ever meet who's also been arrested for shoplifting a Van Halen cassette on Father's Day.

I'll be holding it down midday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Yes, me--your girl, Meg Summers. For those of you who don't know me, I am a music lover, cinephile, and pie aficionado. My hobbies include napping, looking at depression memes, and going to shows. I'm a badass mother (literally); I love junk food, the Crimson Tide, and reruns of Twin Peaks. I think The Avenue Pub is the best restaurant in town, and I will physically fight you if you disagree.

Hurricane Shane will be getting you through the rest of the day and your ride home; he's on from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. You probably remember Hurricane Shane from his days on the long-gone but legendary 107.7 The X out of Birmingham. He's sexy, salty--and a little scary--and we're psyched to have him on the Alt 1017 crew!

We're going live with our new talent lineup on Monday, May 7th, so get hyped! Download the new Alt 1017 app now so you can listen live anytime, anywhere!
