A key piece of Alabama's defensive line will be back for the 2019 season.

Raekwon Davis announced Wednesday on Twitter that he plans to pass on the NFL for now to return to Tuscaloosa for one final season.

Not only is it good news because the 6-foot-7, 305-pound lineman has the potential to be a game-changer on defense, but it's also important for Alabama because the team is likely losing its other two defensive line starters. Isaiah Buggs graduated and Quinnen Williams will likely enter the draft with a high first-round grade.

Davis entered the season as a preseason All-SEC first-teamer but was overshadowed by his teammates along the line. The Mississippi native finished with 55 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, and just 1.5 sacks. He'll have the opportunity to bounce back and be a leader for the Crimson Tide defense in 2019 and that's good news for Nick Saban.
